Heya. I'm old enough to be your father. I've done competetive internet gaming since around 1988. Member of the Zoo Crew, 1995 paradise netrek league champions! I've had NS2 for all of a week now, but getting into it. I did play some Savage and Savage II years ago, so I'm somewhat familiar with the game style.
Hi Drengor, Welcome to the Community. Competitive Gaming since 1988. Perhaps we played Duke Nukem against each other via BBS - My old 14.4 baud modem - I think it's still hot. I melted the poor thing. Anyway glad to have you. What other games do you play, also where abouts are you located? I like to know where my members are - easier than an IP lookup and helps me to place servers strategically to keep pings at a relevant level across the board as best I can.
Heh. I wasn't counting BBS gaming... it'd go back further yet. 1988 was when I found the internet and started playing muds. Genocide was the pvp mud that I spent the most time on... Then upgraded to paradise netrek a couple years later. Right now I'm not playing much in the way of multiplayer games... replaying some skyrim/oblivion/x3 when taking a break from NS2. I have played most MMO's at one point in time, and play clash of clans on my ipad mini. I live just outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Married, 4 kids... oldest is in his senior year of college.
