Hey guys, I'm Andrew (aka wheelchee). Ever since I found diamond's server i've pretty much played only there and no where else. Steve Kaiser and Vengaboy are the ones I have to thank for turning me on to NS2 (never played the original HL mod, sorry to say) and Vengaboy for starting my diamond server addiction. Of my 330ish hours, prolly 200+ of em have been in diamond lol. Diamond is by far the best ns2 server I've been on just because of the community aspect and the willingness to help others learn (that they cannot beacon to a base when there is no command chair present lesson learned, lol) and things similar to this. I'm outta things to say atm, so i guess I'll seeya guys in the RR! Also, just to clarify, AlphaQup does not mean "i'll f**k up", it's actually pronounced "I'll f**k YOU up" You say the letter Q when saying it lol.

Well yes you still can't join when the server's full but now you can get in queue again. I don't have patience to sit and watch for a slot to open.
well ya, maybe some wait time, but muuuuch better then it was before. I have no problem sitting around and waiting for an opening, other servers just do not compare most of the time.

That's why it bugged me when I couldn't get in. There's other servers out there with fun games and good comms but not if you're looking for a 24 slot server. Diamonds iz ze bests. My only complaint would be the comm situation on our server. There's plenty of people that can and will comm and a few can actually do it well but nothing beats having a veteran commander that knows how to support his team and react quickly. We need more of those. I'm glad you have the balls to start learning marine comm, now it's just time to get those clicks/minute up and become great!
true story, you will not find a better 24 man server then DMD. it does seem like very few people actually step up and comm. it usually takes me like 5-10 min to get into comming, especially when we're trying to get bases/rt's established and make pushes. I feel once I get 2+ bases, 4+ RT's and I am "warmed up" in the comm position, I can focus more on support instead of dropping rt's/arms labs/sentries/armories etc. at all the places we have taken. Yeah i do need to get my clicks/minute up in the beginning, i usually get there after that initial "freak out when the game starts" period is over and I start to formulate a plan lol. no if only I could learn to comm aliens as well... need to start doing that sometime. as of right now, I honestly have no clue where to even start. marines seem much more straight-forward to me, which is prolly not the case actually.
Hi Alpha, Welcome to the community. I appreciate the feedback. It's always nice to see and very appreciative. You'll get better at commanding. Keep practising and you'll be a vet in no time. I've been playing NS for 11 years, and I can tell you that strategy is never the same from one second to the next. NS2 isn't as hectic as NS1 due to the lack of vets, but it all comes down to the same sequence. Set your hotkeys and command as you feel fit. I do find you to be a mature and helpful person and I want to thank you for being active in the forums. I'll be hooking more fun into it as we go. I'm working on a karma point system. So we'll see how that turns out. Anyways - again welcome, and I look forward to playing under your command in game. ~Rusty
Oh hey there Rusty, Thanks for the welcomes, and anytime man. I feel like comm'ing is one of those easy to pick up, very hard to master kind of deals. Between constantly having to adapt, and reformulate plans, it's pretty damn close to as much fun as being on the feild lol. Hotkeys! I do need to use them instead of flying all over the place with my mouse. Definitely need to work on that. Lol, ty sir, now if only my rents thought about me in that way we'd be set haha. A Karma system is a solid idea, especially for any forums/posts that are Q/A related. I think i'll try my hand comm'ing next captains night, have yet to comm a game with that level of skilled players. Should be fun!
This man is a pro gorge and a master welder. A true team player, through and through. Love it when we're on the same team.
