Anyone want to make some videos and/or anything that we can link from in-game to our forums to help new people? All the NS2 videos I've seen lately are out-of-date. I don't have any knowledge on video making so anything would be appreciated. Looking at the steam forums for Ns2 they are mostly new players that are angry because they get stomped and receive no help on how to play the game. While I understand it's not up to us to hold their hands, I'd still like to have just something out there to show how awesome this game can be with the right amount of information.. Anyone?

It's a neat idea. Did you have anything specific in mind? I might suggest trying to make the videos relatively short and sweet. Something that is very easily digested, so they're not forced to spend 20 minutes watching a longer video. The more readily available and easily consumed the information is, the more likely it is they'll actually watch it.
I've been doing a bit of research to see if my computer can handle better quality videos and what capture software is best. I'd like to make about 2-3 minutes videos that people can watch while waiting for games to start(getting commanders and such). They'll be just an overview of what buildings do which, then I'll make more in-depth videos. Nothing skill-based just information like the damage and armor difference in upgrades for marines and veils,shells,spurs for aliens. There's usually a few streamers on twitch so maybe throw that in there if they want to get some strategy from those guys. I've been looking for any material i can find on life/damage numbers to no avail. =-\
