Figured I'd make the obligatory post. I've been lerking (heh) the servers for some time now, but figured I'd settle down for the l I'm Spike, Ninja or Kevin. I'm 34, I've been married for 8 years, and I have a 3.5 year old daughter who is testing the limits of my patience at every opportunity. I'm a Software Quality Engineer for a major consumer electronics company, which is a fancy way of saying that I break software. Well, technically I don't break it--I shatter the illusion that it was working to begin with. Mostly I write automated testing scripts and C# and ObjC based apps used for testing. My degree is in network management with a focus on Cisco-based systems, but my study rack at home just collects dust, because I'd rather play NS2 in my spare time. I've always been a Windows man, but last year I accepted OSX as my OS and Savior, and I'm quite happy. Hell, my desk at work is littered with 3 Macs and two Windows-based machines. At home I have one Mac, two Windows laptops, my Win 8.1 gaming rig, two iPads and numerous Android devices. My sidearm is a 64GB Droid Turbo. Gaming Rig (it's old, and I don't care) Antec Nine Hundred Two AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Heka (not-OC, because it ain't stable) Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB DDR5 128GB SSD (OS) 500GB HDD (educationally-licensed torrented material) 1TB (Data/Games) 3x 1TB array (Plex server and data store)
