Haven't played normal NS2 in a since the update before 272. When I try to join the diamond server it tells me that I'm missing a required mod. The loading screen gets to the "Downloading Mods" part then kicks me back to the menu with that error message. Any suggestions on how I might fix this? I thought it would download anything I needed from the server but something is amiss it seems. It might be relevant that when the loading screen shows that list of activated mods there are 5 or 6 that just 100%. No name or identifying information.
Hi Steve, You're not the only one with this problem. The mods are not downloading from the workshop for one of two reasons. The first is that the workshop is incredibly busy - which means you have to literally keep trying. The second is that your AVG / Norton, or something was updated and is blocking the files from being downloaded to your computer. Try temporarily shutting off whatever firewall / program you have running and see if it works. Then please report back here. Thanks!
Turning off firewall / antivirus did not work.. problem persists ... The three specific mods failing for me are: DMD - Map Loader DMD - Key Bindings DMD Welcome Message
There's an error in the last build I just found out that's causing issues across all NS2 servers. Temporary fix. - Download mods manually. Click this link to get the zip file. http://diamondgamers.net/mods/Mods%2...%202%20DMD.zip Once you have the file downloaded. Move all of the m*******_***** folders into : C:\Users\******\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\Workshop Voila!

For me it was probably just steam server load because it worked fine the next day.
