After trying Rome Total war 2.. I gave up and and played the 1st one and had so much more fun... anyone like Rome 2 more?

Yes I have both, and I think they really messed up with Rome 2. So many problems, especially with online multiplayer and the AI. The AI is probably one of the most important parts of the campaign so to have that screwed kind of ruins it. The mechanics are not up to scratch. Also the politics system, a major part of Ancient Rome, is literally useless and unnecessary in this game. Rome 1 was more basic, yet more enjoyable, but despite that I just can't go back to it. Rome 2 has advanced so much that I can't go back and play Rome 1 like I used to. So instead I occasionally play Shogun 2 which was also an epic game!
I can understand that, I think Empire Total war left so much of a bad taste in my mouth that all the "new" stuff in Shogun 2 and Rome 2 feel bloated and unneeded.. but Shogun 2 des feel alot better put together over all. Something that seems Really Shit in Rome 2 is the General's speeches...
Yeah Empire was pretty rubbish too, and dont get me started on the general's speeches! The whole game just seemed rushed in my opinion.
