Did you thoroughly enjoy Diablo 2? Were you extremely disappointed at the travesty that is Diablo 3?! You should check out Path of Exile. It is an indie game that's been around for a little while; they've been doing that open beta type deal. A lot of work has gone into the game and it seems pretty solid. The skill tree is massive, and very similar in style to the sphere grid from Final Fantasy 10 if you are familiar with that. It gives a lot of room for customization. Also it is free to play.
I bought Diablo 3 the day it was released. - It's still unopened in the retail box behind me. Haven't had time, but if it sucks, maybe I'll just Ebay it off.
